It is the responsibility of not only the state, but every citizen to see that children grow up under a healthy and happy environment. On the occasion of Children?s Day this year, the Indian Post & Telegraphs Department is happy to bring out a commemorative postage stamp depicting a painting by a child.
Philatelic Stamp Description : The stamp has for its motif a painting titled ?TWO FRIENDS? by 10-year old Master Dinesh of Dehradun. The First Day Cover depicts a painting titled ?Procession? done by 12-year old Kumari Sudha Reddy of Hyderabad. These paintings are reproduced by the courtesy of Shankar?s International Children?s Competition (1977).
